School Readiness

We help our children develop the confidence to embrace the exciting challenge of school.

Getting ready for ‘big school’ is an exciting time but can also be daunting for both the child and the parent/caregiver. To make for a smooth transition we run a school readiness program that focuses heavily on the requirements of school.

At Spring Farm ELC our program is centred around readying your child for school. We take many key areas into account, assessing their progress and providing information to parents and schools to ensure the happiest experience possible!

We have an in depth, holistic approach to school readiness programs with weekly focuses. We run this program alongside school terms, with weekly (fun) homework to help children become confident and create a routine in preparation for primary school.

Working closely with local primary schools, liaising with teachers and hosting information nights ensures that we provide you and your child the best start according to their future teachers. We love to encourage parent participation and provide homework sheets that display children’s developing confidence and include families in their learning.

We include a Jolly Phonics program to help children link sound, sight and creation of English letters.

We’d love you to join our school readiness program but it is non-compulsory and children and families are welcome to choose to participate at their own level.
